Dr. Whetzel is native to Morgan County and proud to serve the people in his community. His goal was always to return to his hometown and help the families who helped him grow up.

He attended Georgia Tech and Georgia College and State University for his pre-doctoral education. He then attended The Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry for his post graduate studies.

Dr. Whetzel is a graduate of MCG where he served as his class president. While a student, he was awarded the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award for outstanding achievement in esthetics, as well as The American College of Dentist’s Outstanding Leadership Award for the most potential impact on the profession of dentistry.

Dr. Whetzel is committed to providing the best dental care possible using the most up to date technology available through continuing education. He hopes to continue to expand his scope of practice to offer a wide variety of procedures to meet our patient’s wants and needs.

Dr. Whetzel and his wife, Jacquelyn, have 4 children, Ellison, Evan, Kellyn and John Caleb. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his children, working on his farm and building furniture. He, along with his wife, teach middle school and high school Sunday school at their church.
